News

BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KFTA) — Now that Christmas is over, families may be wondering where to take their Christmas trees.

In Benton County, the Solid Waste District will accept live trees for a couple of weeks.

All decorations must be removed from the tree in order for it to be accepted. Wendy Bland with the facility said the trees will be sent to Eureka Springs.

“We’ll be donating the trees to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Center,” Bland said. “They use them for animal enrichment program.”

You must be a Benton County Resident to take advantage of the free service at two different locations:

Bentonville- 5702 Brookside Road

Rogers- 3511 N. Arkansas Street

Live trees will be accepted until January 19 and artificial trees are accepted all year.
