Free dental care provided in Rogers

News

Folks in Rogers had the opportunity to get their teeth cleaned or extracted for free.

The doctors and staff at Metro Park Dental Arts provided free dental services for almost 100 people last time they hosted this event, adding up to over $20,000 in dentistry.

Jeff Ericson, a dentist at the practice, said the free cleanings benefit anyone in the community who has a hard time affording dental care or who don’t have dental insurance.

“Everyone that comes in is really thankful, especially the people that come in because they’re in pain,” Ericson said. “They can’t come into work or they’re suffering at work because something hurts. It’s just rewarding to get them our of their discomfort.”

In a study done by WalletHub, Arkansas is the worst state for dental health, ranking number 51 right underneath Mississippi and West Virginia. Click here for that full list.
