ARKANSAS (KNWA/KFTA) — Sunday, December 13, started with an early rainfall and later it turned to snow. Several flights out of Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) have been canceled/redirected due to snow.
By 1 p.m., Highfill police were clearing an eight-car pileup on Highway 264 toward XNA. The road is closed in both directions and there is not an estimated time for reopening, per police.
By 2 p.m., Bella Vista police has responded to more than 100 crashes and vehicles sliding off the roads, according to police there.
