Folks tried their hand at a hole in one at Golftoberfest in Fayetteville Saturday. The 11th annual mini golf tournament is hosted by the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas.
The group helps low income parents in our area go back to college and finish their education, and in turn, hopefully inspire the next generation.
“You know, when a single mom or dad, or any parent, completes their education, their kid witnesses that. So they then choose to value education as well and it sets a new standard for their family and so it creates a cycle of prosperity,” said SPSF Executive Director, Jody Dilday.
There are currently 88 students on scholarship this semester.
