Fayetteville Public Library will officially break ground for their expansion project on March 2.
According to a press release, the expansion project will be over 82,000 square feet.
“This groundbreaking marks a major milestone for both the library and the City of Fayetteville,” said David Johnson, executive director at Fayetteville Public Library. “We are grateful to the citizens of this amazing community for believing in the library’s mission and for allowing us to expand in order to meet the needs of our growing city for generations to come.”
The ceremony will include activities and giveaways for kids.
The event will be held on the south side of the existing Blair Library building at the construction site at 10 a.m. The groundbreaking is a free event and the public is encouraged to attend.
