Group Submits More Casino Signatures

The group behind the initiative is called Arkansas Wins in 2016. 

It was given 30 extra days in July to gather more signatures after failing to meet the required number to appear on the November ballot. 
 
A spokesman for the secretary of state’s office said Arkansas Wins in 2016 submitted 49,790 signatures. 
 
Now the office is in the process of verifying those signatures. 
 
If it makes the ballot and is approved by voters in November, the initiative would create a constitutional amendment allowing authorized casinos in Washington, Boone and Miller counties.
