Hank's Fine Furniture Collecting Donations for Hurricane Relief

ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA) -- An Arkansas-based company is lending a helping hand after one of its own stores was damaged from Hurricane Michael.

Hank's Furniture in Rogers and Bentonville is collecting donations for hurricane relief. Every one of its 15 stores will be sending these donations to Florida.

Baby supplies, non perishable food, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, clothing, and water is currently being collected in each store front.

Each box will be shipped to Panama City, Florida, to help Hank's employees and the surrounding community.

One of its 18-wheeler trucks will ship the boxes.

Showroom designer Ryan Strain says this is personal for him, not only because the Panama City Hank's was hit with roof and water damage, but he has friends and family that live in and around some of the most affected areas.

"Right now we don't have an end date. This is going to be a continuing effort to help the people down there, so as long as people are giving, we are going to give to them," Strain said.

Money tossed into the fountain at each store location will also go towards disaster relief.

The store hopes to expand its efforts with mattress donations in the future.
