Hemp Firm Partners with UA Researchers

News

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — A Northwest Arkansas company is planning to partner with the University of Arkansas to research industrial hemp.

The 2018 Farm Bill, signed in December, made hemp legal in all 50 states.

Arkansas Hemp Genetics LLC plans to work with UA to grow, research, and process hemp flowers for the cannabis oil industry.

The extraction of CBD oil is used for medicinal purposes, but doesn’t get you high.

Hemp also has many industrial purposes, but has <0.3% of THC.
