A college professor is facing multiple charges of possessing or distributing child pornography.
Duff Campbell, 59, was taken into custody on Friday, March 29.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office reported he faces 150 counts of possession or distribution of explicit images involving a child.
Campbell was released on a $50,000.00 bond.
He is a professor of Mathematics at Hendrix College.
Saturday, March 30, Hendrix released the following statement:
“Yesterday, the College learned that a faculty member was arrested. Based on the seriousness of the charges, the faculty member was immediately placed on administrative leave and barred from campus and any college-owned property (including computer access) until further notice. Our overriding priority is the safety and wellbeing of those on our campus and within our community. We will cooperate with authorities and take further action that may be warranted as additional information becomes known. Arrangements for the faculty member’s classes to be covered are being made. Students whose classes are affected will be notified shortly.”
