Holiday Flyers Slow Airport Lines at XNA

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KFTA)– At the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, a holiday trend could potentially make you late to your flight or even miss it.

As the holidays roll in,  business travelers are rolling out.

That’s what XNA is seeing right now.

There’s an increase of travelers who aren’t used to the rush, like families and children, who slow the lines down and delay the screening process.
Airport director Kelly Johnson said to be an efficient flyer, the first thing to do is check in online before even stepping foot into the airport.
You can do this on your phone while you’re on your way.
If you’re checking a bag, bring a card with a magnetic strip so you can get your boarding passes automatically.
Johnson said it’s “very important to make sure you’ve given yourself that extra time. There’s nothing worse this time of the year than missing your flight. Everything is full and there have been instances where you can’t get home for a day or two.”
She also mentions that airport staff will be more attentive to travelers to answer questions and ensure a quick trip.
