Hollywood Film Searches for Actors in NWA

News

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — A Hollywood feature film could begin production in Arkansas this fall and it’s currently looking for actors to be in the movie.

The name of the film, lead roles and production company behind the project hasn’t been released yet.

The talent scout for the project says it’s a Vietnam-era war film and they are using the Natural State as a backdrop for it’s rice fields and flowing rivers.

Hopeful actors came to Mount Sequoyah Sunday to try their hand at the big screen.

Location Scout Robert Huston said, “you recognize the wonderful opportunities that Arkansas has, not only for quality of life, but also very scenic and our people are very very welcoming, and I think these guys have discovered that over the last couple days.”

If you want to try out for the project there will be one last casting call Monday in the River Valley.

Head to the Riverfront Amphitheater in Fort Smith from 4-7 p.m. to audition.
