Folks came together Thursday night to raise money to feed local veterans. Home for Dinner is a non-profit out of Benton County that gives gift cards to veterans for local restaurants so they can enjoy a nice meal.
Founder Beth Hickman says she started Home for Dinner in honor of her father and his service to the country.
“I think its important to give back because our veterans have given so much in service and sacrifice, and I think its very important that we do the same for them,” Hickman said.
People enjoyed a sit-down dinner with some of the veterans that have benefited from Home for Dinner, and chief meteorologist Dan Skoff served as emcee.
