FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — United Way of Northwest Arkansas connected with over 600 volunteers at 30 nonprofit locations today.
It’s one of the largest one day volunteer events of the year and some of the KNWA crew showed off their green thumbs and helped out at Tri Cycle Farms in Fayetteville.
Marketing Director Jackson Braswell from the United Way of Northwest Arkansas said events like today wouldn’t be possible without the help of volunteers.
“United way is nothing without the people of this community coming together and helping out,” Braswell said. “Helping us reach our goal, which is to lift children out of poverty in Northwest Arkansas.”
The volunteers participating in Live United Day in Northwest Arkansas total over $53,000 in donated time for area organizations.
