It’s National Wear Red Day

It’s National Wear Red Day!  It’s part of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) “Go Red for Women Movement.”

The idea is to start a conversation about heart disease and stroke in women.

According to the AHA, one in three women die from cardiovascular disease and 80 percent of cases can be prevented.

The first Friday of February is to start off the wear red movement … and February is designated as American Heart Month.
