John Brown University receives $1.6 million federal grant


SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A local university is getting a grant from the federal government to help Arkansas teachers.

John Brown University will receive more than $1.6 million from the Department of Education.

The money will go towards an online teaching academy, a special education academy, and an English to Speakers of Other Languages academy.

Teachers can enroll for free.
