Kansas City Royals star to join the NWA Naturals for Saturday’s game

A Kansas City Royals star pitcher will take the mound with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals this Saturday.

Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy is expected to make a MLB rehab start with the Naturals on Saturday against the Springfield Cardinals, according to a Naturals news release.

The Royals are the parent club of the Naturals.

The game will be played at Arvest Ballpark and start at 6:05 p.m. Gates will open to the public at 4:05 p.m., according to the news release.

Duffy, 30, has been part of the Royals’ rotation since the 2011 season.

“His best season for the Royals was in 2016 when the California-native struck out 188 hitters in 179.2 innings while going 12-3 with a 3.51 ERA,” the news release states.

Gates at Arvest Ballpark will open to the public at 4:30 p.m. for Princess & Cowboy Night featuring an in-game Easter Egg Hunt as well as a Bullpen Craft Beer Bar Happy Hour from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets for the series against the Cardinals at the Arvest Ballpark Box Office, calling (479) 927-4900, online at www.nwanaturals.com/tickets or by visiting our Administrative Office at the ballpark during standard operating hours.
