Summer camps are in full swing in Northwest Arkansas, as school-aged children begin summer break. And for parents, finding that right summer camp can be a hassle. Some factors parents deal with when looking for a camp:
How can parents find the right camp for their children?
When camping overnight, how do we know if our kids are ready and when it young, too young?
Homesickness could also be a problem, whether overnight or day camp. How can parents or camp counserlors avoid that?
Lastly, as safety is a big issue with camps, what can camps do to ensure that children aren’t in any danger?
Kara Williams from Camp Kanakuk stopped by KNWA Today to give some insight on these question.
