River Valley authorities nabbed a trio of suspects and a large stash of heroin and meth.
Mariah Denton, 50, William Eldridge, 60, and Jesus Limon, 23, were all arrested by Drug Task Force agents and assisting personnel comprised of Van Buren police, Crawford County deputies and Drug Enforcement Agency operatives, according to a 12/21st District Drug Task Force news release.
The Van Buren Police Department’s SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a North 21st Street residence in Van Buren. Drug Task Force operatives, Crawford County deputies and DEA agents then searched the residence.
Authorities found and confiscated approximately 14.5 ounces of black tar heroin, two ounces of crystal methamphetamine, scales and packaging material. The heroin’s street value is approximately $50,750 ($3,500 per ounce), and the meth’s street value is approximately $2,000 ($1,000 per ounce).
“This is one of the largest heroin seizures for this area and is indicative of this dangerous substance entering our community,” the news release states. “Your DTF and partner law enforcement agencies resolve to interdict and eradicate this substance from our community at every opportunity.”
The suspects were booked into the Crawford County Detention Center.
