ROGERS, Ark. (KFTA) — The Southeastern Regional Equipment Operators Conference and Roadeo welcomed Lt. Governor Tim Griffin Thursday.
Griffin spoke at the event held at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.
It was hosted by the Arkansas Department of Transportation.
The event promoted skill advancements for workers who operate heavy equipment, increased safety awareness and recognized the skill of equipment operators.
“This is a great opportunity for those folks to come together from around the South, particularly the Southeast, and not only develop relationships and enjoy each other’s company, but to share ideas,” Griffin said.
This is the 16th year of the event and it will be held in Mississippi next year.
