Local Celebrity in Springdale for Good Cause

A world renown fire safety duo spent a day visiting Springdale elementary schools.

Dayna Hilton, along with Molly the Fire Safety Dog are the founders of the Keep Kids Fire Safe Foundation, a nonprofit that teaches kids all over the world lifesaving information about what to do in the case of a fire emergency. Molly demonstrates things like how to crawl low under smoke and how to test a smoke alarm.

The two spent Monday, January 7, donating a fire safety book, that has saved the lives of seven children and two adults to date, to each of the Springdale elementary schools.  Hilton said the cause is dear to her heart after her friend Joy Wright passed away late last year.

“Joy wanted to make sure that all the children in Springdale had a copy of the book in hopes the book would help keep them safe,” Hilton said.
