Local Dog Shot in Head With Arrow Finds New Home

A dog that was shot in the head with an arrow has a second chance at life with a Crawford County man.

Crawford County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the corner of Highway 282 and Zion Road, where the dog was stranded, according to an incident report.

After failed attempts to locate the owner, one of the deputies contacted a local veterinarian who said they would have to euthanize the dog since the owner could not be located.

A person, who wanted to remain anonymous, paid to have the arrow removed and later adopted the dog, naming him “Chance.”
