One local eye care clinic is stepping in to help Multiple Sclerosis.
Vold Vision has partnered with the MS Society for free eye screenings to help detect optic neuritis.
It’s a common symptom for people living with MS.
At least half of the people with multiple sclerosis will deal with this condition at least once in their lifetime.
Symptoms usually come on suddenly, according to Dr. Rebecca Moser, an optometrist for Vold Vision.
“Some of those symptoms could include blurred vision, pain with eye movement or blind spots in your vision,” Moser said. “Some of the other symptoms of MS could be double-vision or other visual disturbances. So if any of those things happen all of a sudden, you would know where to turn.”
The screenings are quick, painless and are available at all three Vold Vision locations.
