FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — Northwest Health, one of the largest health networks in Northwest Arkansas with five hospitals, is the newest member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network and the only one in the state.
The network consists of a select group of independent health systems that work closely with Mayo Clinic to improve the delivery of healthcare and better serve their patients and the communities they serve.
The hospital will now have the ability to learn directly from the Mayo Clinic’s experience and gain access to its subject matter experts.
One of those resources electronically consults with Mayo Clinic specialists on patient care questions.
The program launched in 2011. The network consists of more than 40 member organizations in the U.S., China, Mexico, Philippines and Singapore.
