LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KARK) — Little Rock Police investigated 4 morning shootings Sunday in the capital city.

We learned they happened around the city in different neighborhoods between midnight and 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police said three of those cases remain open with no arrest yet.

2 of the victims have serious life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police have arrest 1 person so far.

“Around midnight. (…) Around 2 a.m. (…) This is about 4:30 in the morning. (…) At 8:38,” Officer Steve Moore told us the times of the calls.

We talked to neighbors at the fourth shooting scene at 11500 Chicot.

Tyler Floyd said he ran to help his neighbor after he heard the shots.

“I still got his blood on my pants,” he said.

LRPD said a 55-year-old fights for his life after someone shot him multiple times at the Whispering Hills mobile park Sunday morning around 8:38.

Tyler’s girlfriend Skyler Galster said, “He (Tyler) ran outside and I immediately called 911 as I was sitting there watching the dude shooting up that trailer right there.”

We met with LRPD Officer Steve Moore Sunday afternoon to learn more about the shootings.

Officer Moore said, “Why this happened? What was the motive? Was  it a robbery? Was it an argument? We just don’t know that yet.”

That scene was the 4th shooting in the capital city before 9 a.m. Sunday.

Moore said, “I don’t believe they are connected.”

He said an 18-year-old reported he got shot in the leg walking near 40th and Potter but didn’t say much more. That call came in around midnight.

“We don’t really know why and who or anything like that and if we’re getting the whole story at this time,” police said.

About 2 hours later around 17th and Johnson police said a 38-year-old at a hospital reported he got shot.

Moore said, “He was driving his car. One of the shots went through the car and struck him in the calf, I believe.”

Police are following up on leads in that case.

“That one we are still investigating as trying to develop a suspect and possibly could have warrants in a few days,” Officer Moore said.

Then a little more than 2 hours after that an officer near Lehigh Court heard shots and found a 27-year-old victim, according to LRPD.

“Life threatening (injuries). (He was) Shot 3 times in the stomach. Serious condition,” Moore said.

Police arrested the victim’s step brother Emanuel Buchanan.

The fourth shooting has the two neighbors we spoke with moving.

Galster said, “I’ve already talked to the owner. I was like ‘No. I’m not going to die at 19.'”

LRPD said it does not believe these shootings are connected based off where they all happened.

If you have any information call LRPD.

LRPD sent out a press release with the following summaries about the shootings Sunday afternoon. Here are the summaries given to us from LRPD:

Shooting #1: “Around midnight officers went to UAMS on a shooting report. Contact was made with a victim, Jacob Roberts, W/M, 18 years old. He was shot in the leg and it is not considered life threatening. He told officers that he was walking through a vacant lot in the area of 41st and Potter when he heard gunshots and realized that he had been shot in the leg. He was able to walk home and his mother took him to the hospital. There is no suspect information and no further details on this shooting. He claims he did not see who was shooting.”

They made contact with Michael Brooks, B/M, 38 years old, who was shot in the lower leg and was not life threatening. He told officers that he was in the area of 1700 Johnson when he heard several shots and realized that he had been shot in the leg while in his vehicle. He drove himself to the hospital. Detectives are currently working to develop suspect information on this case and warrants are possible in the near future. The shooting was possibly the result of an argument the victim was involved in earlier in the night. Any suspect information will be released when a warrants are obtained.

Shooting #3: On 08/19 at 0440 hours a LRPD officer was in the area of 36th and Barrow when he heard several shots fired. He circulated the area and when he got to Lehigh Court he could hear someone yelling for help. He located a victim leaned on a mailbox and asking for help. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the stomach and the officer immediately began to render aide until MEMS could arrive. The victim was able to tell the officer that his step brother shot him. The victim was identified as Marque Brown, B/M, 27 years old. He was taken to Baptist Hospital in serious condition. Officers then located the step brother, identified as Emanuel Buchanan, B/M , 32 years old inside 20 Lehigh Court. Buchanan was taken into custody and later charged with Domestic Battery 1st Degree by detectives and placed in PCRJ. The shooting apparently took place after an argument between the two.
