A man accused of negligent homicide is back in a Benton County jail after his bond was revoked for driving on a suspended license, according to Benton County Prosecuting Attorney Nathan Smith.

Michael Arthur Porath, 21, was arrested Monday morning, January 28, according to the Benton County Jail Inmate Details.

Porath’s negligent homicide charge is a result of a car crash that happened early in the morning last November at the intersection of Southeast 14th and Phyllis Streets in Bentonville, according to a police report.

Prior to the accident, Porath had been at a Rogers bar — Good Vibrations — drinking for six hours, according to surveillance video obtained by the Alcohol Beverage and Control Board.

Porath is charged with Felony Negligent Homicide, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Inadequate Insurance and Driving on a Suspended License.
