Man Entered Woman’s Room Naked & Attempted to Rape Her, Police Say

News

A Rogers man is accused of entering a woman’s bedroom naked and attempting to rape her.

Mitchell Borys Malczycki, 37, of Rogers was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, aggravated assault, third-degree battery and possession of controlled substance – meth, according to a Washington County preliminary report.

A Fayetteville woman called 911 on Monday and reported that she was being attacked by a man, according to the preliminary report.

Fayetteville police officers traveled to the apartment building the woman said she was at and found the woman sobbing outside. The woman told police that a man later identified as Malczycki hit her while he was naked and on top of her, according to the report.

The woman later told police that she came home from work at 3:30 a.m. and found  Malczycki naked on her couch, appearing to be asleep. She told police that she knew Malczyck and did not ask him to leave because they were both staying at a mutual friend’s apartment, according to the report.

The woman said that while she was asleep in a bedroom, Malczycki entered and got on top of him while still being naked. She said she tried to push him off with her legs, but  Malczycki became angry, hit her five to six times in the face with his fist and choked her to the point that she almost lost consciousness. The woman said she was able to slide out from underneath him and run out of the apartment, according to the report.

Police entered the apartment in search of Malczycki. Inside, they found drug paraphernalia and other items used for drug activity. Police then attempted to enter the bedroom the woman mentioned, but could not enter because something was keeping the door from being opened, the report states.

Officers were able to open the door enough to learn that it was Malczycki blocking the door. The officers identified themselves and ordered Malczycki to move away from the door and let them in. The officers forced their way in after Malczycki refused to comply, the report states.

Once inside the room, the officers found Malczycki naked on the floor, acting like he was under the influence of an intoxicant, according to the report.

Malczycki murmured incoherently and did not follow officer instructions to lie on the floor and put his hands behind his back. The officers forced Malczycki’s hands behind his back and placed him in handcuffs, the report states.

The officers got  Malczycki in some clothes and questioned him as another officer documented the woman’s injuries. The woman had abrasions to her neck, legs and face, according to the report.

The woman told police that she and  Malczycki had never been romantically involved.

Malczycki was booked into the Washington County Detention Center.
