A man is facing two charges of domestic battery after two women accused him of hitting them.
James Maxey, 26, was arrested on Wednesday after two women told police Maxey hit them. Police said the first victim said Maxey pushed his way into her home while she was with her 18-month-old child. The victim stated Maxey pushed his way in and then punched her.
Later, while an officer was at Washington Regional Medical Center, an ER staff member was running after Maxey and pointing him out, telling the officer Maxey needed to be stopped. When the officer approached Maxey, Maxey said he hit the second victim. When police observed the second victim, she had blood on her face and a broken orbital bone. The second victim told police she confronted Maxey about cheating and he hit her in the face, causing her to go unconscious.
Maxey was arrested and faces charges of domestic battery, endangering the welfare of a minor and residential burglary.
