FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — A Springdale man was arrested after police say he filmed people urinating in the bathroom of a Fayetteville gym.
The Fayetteville Police Department said Raymond Peraza-Ayusa, 25, was taken into custody after filming in the bathroom of Planet Fitness on West Grove Avenue.
He was booked into the Washington County Detention Center and faces a charge of video voreurism, police said.
On Wednesday at 9:42 p.m., police were called to the gym. The manager told police Peraza-Ayusa was seen filming gym members urinating. The manager said he acted like he was going to urinate at a urinal next to a stall Peraza-Ayusa was using.
As he stood at the urinal, the manager saw Peraza-Ayusa stick his phone out from under the stall and start to record him, police said. That’s when the manager called authorities.
Police later showed up, and Peraza-Ayusa surrendered his phone. As officers searched the device, they found multiple videos of people urinating and others defecating in stalls next to Peraza-Ayusa’s, an arrest report states.
Peraza-Ayusa later admitted to recording others, police said.
