FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — A Sulphur Springs man was given nine years in prison Thursday after sending inappropriate photographs to a detective pretending to be a teen girl, court records state.

Bryan Ashley, 41, pleaded guilty to internet stalking of a child, according to court documents.

He was taken into custody in February, and the detective he communicated with was pretending to be a 13-year-old girl.

Ashley will be required to register as a sex offender and must abide by a suspended sentence agreement for 11 years following his prison release.
