Medical Marijuana Commission Sets Application Fee

News

(via KARK) — On Tuesday the Medical Marijuana Commission met for the third time since the commissioners were sworn in.

Medical marijuana is a hot topic in the capitol city as the commissioners continue to discuss rules and regulations about how the industry will be run in the Natural state.

Commissioners agreed on an application fee for cultivation facilities of $15,000 , adding that half of that amount would be refunded if an application is rejected.

They discussed a higher licensing fee once applications are accepted, but did not settle on an amount.

Several other items were tabled or put off until the board has more information including financial minimum requirements, where the cultivation facilities will be located and what products will be allowed.

The next meeting is Tuesday January 3 at 3:00 p.m.
