Miss America Makes Appearance During Survivor Tractor Stop

New Holland Agriculture is touring the Survivor Tractor and on Wednesday, that tractor made a stop in Fayetteville.

The fully-restored Williams Tractor is dedicated to raising funds for cancer research. Arkansas’ very own Miss America Savvy Shields made an appearance this morning to help collect donations.

Shields said she’s passionate about events like these, especially since she gets to be home.

“When you’re Miss America, it feels like you’re playing dress up across the country but when you’re in your hometown around the people that made you Miss America it really feels real. So, it’s special and near to me in that way,” Shields said.

People attending on Wednesday were encouraged to take photos next the the Survivor Tractor and share their stories of survival on social media using the hashtag #SurvivorTractor.
