Bellisio Foods in Ohio is recalling frozen pork entrée products due to possible contamination from pieces of glass or hard plastic, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. (USDA)

The USDA said the recall is for approximately 173,376 pounds of the “frozen, not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) boneless pork rib patties were produced on various dates from December 7, 2018, to February 15, 2019.”

The description of the recalled products is:

“14-oz. black cardboard box packages containing “BOSTON MARKET Home Style Meals BONELESS PORK RIB SHAPED PATTY WITH BBQ SAUCE & MASHED POTATOES” with “BEST BY:” dates of

  • 12/07/2019 lot code 8341
  • 01/04/2020 lot code 9004
  • 01/24/2020 lot code 9024
  • 02/15/2020 lot code 9046

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 18297” on the end carton flap of the package, the release states.

These products were shipped nationwide, according to the release.

Since the pork entrées are frozen the USDA is urging consumers to check their freezers.

If the entrées are found, either return them to the place of purchase or throw them away, the release states.

If there are questions about the recall, consumers can call Bellisio Foods Consumer Affairs Supervisor, Krista Cummings, at 855-871-9977.
