Mumps Case Reported at Fayetteville High School

A case of the Mumps has been reported at Fayetteville High School, according to the Director of Health Services. Arkansas has recently reported over 750 cases of the Mumps

The Arkansas Department of Health requires unvaccinated students who are in the same school as someone with a confirmed case of the Mumps to be excluded from school for 26 days, starting on the date of exposure. Students who receive the recommended MMR vaccine can return to school.

Fayetteville Public Schools says custodians will provide additional cleaning, for the safety of staff and student health.
