BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA) — A Benton County building is now brighter thanks to the creativity of a group of students.

The Haas Hall Academy Art Club installed a mural inside the county’s revenue office on Walnut Street in Rogers.

Their challenge was to create a piece that depicted why Benton County is a great place to live, work and play.

The students incorporated Crystal Bridges, Beaver Lake and bicycles to represent the large biking community.

Twenty-five kids painted 33 individual panels to make up the one cohesive mural.

“It’s really rewarding to see something in a place that’s usually pretty void of color, to see my art work and the work of all of my friends and peers hanging on the wall,” said Sarah Signorino, a Hass Hall student. “It was a lot of work and it finally paid off. “

The students worked on the mural for nearly three months, putting many after school hours into the project.
