A Fayetteville man charged with first-degree murder in a fatal stabbing three years ago has been found unfit for trial.

Jeremy Borders, 43, was acquitted Tuesday by a Washington County Circuit Court judge for reason of insanity.

He was accused of killing 48-year-old Joe Bob Scarborough by stabbing him 10 times in November 2016.

Borders has been committed to the custody of Arkansas State Hospital.
