Muslims For Life Blood Drive Honors Lives Lost on 9/11

News

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — From Monday to Tuesday many will be giving blood in honor of those who lost their lives in the terror attack on Sept. 11, 2001.

It’s all a part of the Muslims for Life 8th Annual Blood Drive at the University of Arkansas.

Students, staff and locals are welcome to show up from 10 a.m.  to 4 p.m. at the Verizon Ball Room inside the U of A’s union on campus.

The group said it hopes to give back and support the local community on a day of remembrance.

“We want to show respect to the lives that were lost on this day and show that our community like to help instead of all the other things that come along with it,” said Abigail Pickardt, president of All Islam Assoc.

The blood drive will wrap up Tuesday at 4 p.m.
