New Bentonville Mural Deals With Injustice

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- A new mural is on display in Bentonville as part of a Crystal Bridges art exhibition.

Renowned artist Yatika Fields painted this mural over two weeks time after talking with members of the community.

Ultimately, Fields settled on the image of Lady Justice to adorn a law firm located near the town square.

Fields points to her blindfold getting lifted up to see today's injustices because of social currents.

The mural is part of the "Art for a New Understanding: Native Voices - 1950's to Now" exhibition, which features the work of indigenous artists like Fields.
