One officer then approached a white SUV where he says he saw a man, later identified as Ivan, holding onto Norma Salinas, who appeared to be shot in the right shoulder, unresponsive and not breathing.
The officer says he asked them what happened and the owner of the white SUV, Areli Soto, said she had just got home from picking up Salinas from work when they saw Alonso pulling up to the residence. Soto said she and Salinas stayed in the vehicle, and Ivan came out of the home to confront Torres.
Ivan then told police Alonso asked where Salinas was located and he told her. Alonso then tried to get in the car where Salinas was located.
