New splash pad opens in Pea Ridge in time for Memorial Day Weekend

News

If you’re looking to beat the heat this Memorial Day Weekend, a Northwest Arkansas splash park is set to open.

The Pea Ridge City Park held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday for the completion of its splash pad.

Mayor Jackie Crabtree said he’s excited for kids to be able to have fun while being able to stay in Pea Ridge this summer.

“It’s going to be awesome,” Crabtree said. “The kids don’t have a pool. So if they want to do something like this they have to go to Bentonville or Rogers. Now they can stay here, plus it’s at the park, and they can take care of the amenities, and they can enjoy those while they’re here. “

The splash pad will officially open this Memorial Day Weekend.
