FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Outdoor trails in Northwest Arkansas continue to grow with a new bike path in Rogers.
The Two Cities Trail Project will create a two-mile trail system to connect the cities of Rogers and Bentonville.
Rogers will partner with the Northwest Arkansas Trail Blazers in order complete the project.
A major goal for the city is to work with third parties to keep connecting the trail system within Northwest Arkansas.
“We have areas that are really strong and really well connected, and then we will have sections where there are gaps in them. So it is definitely a goal for the city to connect all those gaps and to really have a strong infrastructure trail network,” said Ben Cline, spokesman for the City of Rogers.
The city expects the project to be finished by late October.
