Newsfeed Now: Border wall backlash; rampaging wild pigs in Texas

On Newsfeed Now for Feb. 18, on this Presidents Day we were talking about President Trump’s continued push for a border wall and the backlash that’s growing over his national emergency declaration to get the funding needed to built it. Lawmakers are split over the idea. Washington Correspondent Drew Petrimoulx was part of the conversation.

We then traveled to East Texas for a first-hand look at rampaging feral hogs and the trail of damage they are leaving behind that’s totaling in the millions. KETK’s Isaac Ramirez joined us with a look at what the agriculture industry in the area is doing to help control the wild hog population.

From Kansas, we shared the story of a soldier’s surprise homecoming that’s sweeping over the internet. KSNT’s Kelly Saberi told us about the double delivery that brought him home.

And, in Arkansas, we met an 89-year-old probation officer who’s making an impact and inspiring others. She’s proving that age is just a number. KARK’s Mallory Brooks shared the story.
