On Newsfeed Now for Feb. 8, we were talking with WJTV’s Byron Brown in Jackson, Mississippi about his story on the newspaper reporter whose investigative work brought justice decades later to four klansmen who were convicted in killings from the 1960s.
At 4:30 into the show, host Aaron Nolan also welcomed WKRG’s Devon Walsh in Mobile, Alabama with the story of a couple’s out-of-the-box idea for adopting a baby. They turned to Craigslist!
We had a veteran salute from Kansas at 11 minutes into the show. KSN’s Gwyn Bevel in Wichita introduced us to Richard Martin, who was drafted during World War II at just 18-years-old and became an Air Corps bombardier. He shares details of one mission in Japan that was a close encounter with a kamikaze.
For our final story, at 16 minutes in the show, KLFY Reporter Tracy Wirtz shared details of a Louisiana woman’s double Grammy nonimation. Lafayette native Lauren Daigle is a Christian/Pop crossover singer whose album sits at number one on the Billboard Christian chart for the 18th week in a row.
