On Newsfeed Now for Feb. 22, our top story-possible severe weather this weekend. Meteorologists Hayden Nix (KARK) and John Bryant (WATN) joined the discussion with complete analysis of the forecast that has much of the South on high alert for storms. 

From our Washington bureau, Drew Petrimoulx shared details of the fight over an Alabama woman who left the U.S. five years ago to join ISIS in Syria NOT being allowed back in the country. Top government officials say Hoda Muthana is not a U.S. citizen, as she claims. Muthana was born in New Jersey when her father was serving as a diplomat from Yemen.

From there we headed to Birmingham, Alabama to get the story of a local 10-year-old who’s written a book that’s become a best seller on Amazon. WIAT’s Hillary Simon joined the conversation to tell us all about how this talented young lady developed her way with words.

We also brought you a full preview of the Oscars. The 91st Academy Awards will be handed out on Sunday. Movie film critic Michael Cook, of Little Rock, gave us a rundown of some of the nominees and revealed his predictions.
