Transportation routes with more stops could be headed to our area.
The technical advisory committee held a meeting to discuss Northwest Arkansas’ Transit Development Plan.
They talked about different issues, including Arkansas Razorback Transit and Ozark Regional Transit bus routes to urban areas.
Some of the feedback at the meeting was that the public would like to see more routes connect to different places like shopping areas and their jobs.
Tim Conklin, the transportation programs manager, talked about some of the future plans for the bus routes.
“Looking at the entire region today, and be looking at the transit markets that are served, they will also be developing scenarios of how transit can be provided in our rapidly growing region looking out to 2030,” Conklin said.
Cronklin said one of the challenges they do face is not being able to provide enough transportation for the Northwest Arkansas region.
