FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — Benton, Washington and Carroll counties have all been awarded federal funds for emergency food and shelter programs.

A panel made up of several national charities and non-profits chose the winners.

More than $130,000 was given to the three counties.

That money will be spread to several local programs that provide food and shelter during emergency situations.
