ROGERS, Ark. (KFTA) — The Northwest Arkansas Heart Walk is approaching.
The American Heart Association will be holding the Heart Walk to celebrate Move More Month.
The 1.7 mile walk will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at 5078 Northgate Road, adjacent to the Walmart AMP in Rogers. Registration and activities begin at 8 a.m., according to a Heart Association news release.
“The American Heart Association invites people of all ages and fitness levels to participate in the Northwest Arkansas Heart Walk to support the AHA’s mission of building healthier lives, free of heart diseases and stroke,” the news release states.
The Heart Walk is part of the Heart Association’s Healthy For Good movement, designed to motivate millions of Americans to live healthier lives. Cardiovascular disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of people in the nation, the news release states.
