FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — National Hispanic Heritage Month is kicking off in Fayetteville, bringing Latin culture to our community.
The 6th Annual Northwest Arkansas Hispanic Heritage Festival hosted by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce brought music, food and dance to the Fayetteville Square on Sunday afternoon.
“Fayetteville has always been a very welcoming city but when they do things like this I mean it just brings so many people out from different parts. I mean I say all Arkansans and new Arkansans, we have a mixture of food and celebration,” said Al Lopez (Papa Rap), entertainment director, NWA Hispanic Heritage Festival.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year from mid September through mid October across the country.
