FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — Kids got to show their parents the skills it takes to tackle the shark tank and become the future business leaders of America in Fayetteville on Friday.
Elementary students took part in a two week training partnering with the University of Arkansas Young Scholar Program.
Parents got to see the program for themselves in an open house.
Organizers said this is a great experience for kids to learn how the real world works.
“They actually start businesses, from a bank account to a web site to learning how to get funding and producing product to start a businesses,” said Graham Cobb, CEO of Bentonville Chamber of Commerce.
The program is offered every other summer with this year’s group of young scholars sponsored by AT&T.
