NWA Locals Walk for More Babies to be Born Healthy

In Benton County, locals walked to help more babies be born healthy.

That’s the mission of the March for Babies, and people in the area are pushing for moms and babies to get the best possible care.

The March for Babies Walk raised more than $100,000 on May 4.

Nearly half-a-million babies are born prematurely every year, suffering from dozens of health complications.

Families face a large emotional and financial toll, but March for Dimes provides support in those dark days.

“There’s still one in ten babies born prematurely today and March For Dimes and March For Babies is a great way to make sure that we make a difference in those lives and our goal is healthy moms and babies,” March of Dimes 2019 Chair Amy Parton said.

The event on Saturday included a walk, super-hero sprint, and a bouncy house.
