‘The owner of a soon-to-be Northwest Arkansas medical marijuana dispensary says the process to sell his product is taking longer than expected.
In Bentonville, off McNeilly Road, is an old gift shop will be transformed into a medical marijuana dispensary in just a few months.
Dispensaries are allowed to grow just a small amount.
That’s an advantage The Relief Center says it hopes to use in order to speed up the process.
Medical marijuana license holder Roger Song says he chose this location specifically to start a new section of growth in the region.
Song grew up in Rogers, so he’s proud to give back to an area where he has personal connections.
“The last time I looked there were 6,800 applicants,” The Relief Center Owner Roger Song said. “That’s 6,800 reasons to do this. I hope I can speak for all the other Arkansas dispensaries — that each person will be taken in and taken care of. ”
